God and King

After releasing the song “Forevermore” at the end of 2018, I decided to write another song based on one of the Psalms in the Bible. This time I chose Psalm 145 as it says a lot about God that is relevant to the work I’m doing with Eden Hillhead. Most of the song was recorded and mixed in my house after finally finding space for my equipment. You can see the lyrics below and if you’d like to read the story behind the Psalm and the song then please check out my blog post.

You can buy a digital copy of the single or stream it from most online music distributors such as Amazon, DeezerGoogleiTunes, Spotify, Tidal and CD Baby.

God and King Cover

Great are you O Lord; most worthy of our praise
Your splendour and your wonderous works; on this we’ll meditate
Sharing what you’ve done; your mighty acts profess
We join with saints before us and sing of your righteousness

So we lift your name in praise, we sing
Every day we praise you our God and King
We worship you, and our praise will be
Every day declared into eternity

Gracious are you God; patient, merciful
Abounding in unfailing love and you are good to all
Compassion showers down; creation sings your praise
One God, one King your reign will bring you glory for all days

So we lift your name in praise, we sing
Every day we praise you our God and King
We worship you, and our praise will be
Every day declared into eternity

Faithful in your words and kind in all you do
Receiving grace, we give you thanks as all eyes look to you
Helping those who fall, the hungry and the weak
You open up your hand to satisfy our every need

So we lift your name in praise, we sing
Every day we praise you our God and King
We worship you, and our praise will be
Every day declared into eternity

You hear the cry of those who fear you
And near you are and we are here to praise you
You hear the cry of those who fear you
And near you are our Lord and saviour

So we lift your name in praise, we sing
Every day we praise you our God and King
We worship you, and our praise will be
Every day declared into eternity
